How Long Have You Been Trying To Fix This By Changing What’s On Your Calendar?

You block off focus time.

Promise yourself you’re going to stop answering messages after dinner.

Delegate a few things. Say no to something you would normally take on. Maybe even book a vacation and swear you’re going to actually unplug this time.

And for a little while, things feel better.

Then work gets busy again.

Someone needs you. A project starts slipping. There’s an empty spot on your calendar you could use to get ahead.

Annnd somehow you’re right back to being the one who holds everything together while running yourself into the ground. I know how frustrating that is, especially when you’re someone who can usually figure things out.

You know you need more space. You’ve probably gotten very good at identifying what you should be doing differently.

But knowing you should set a boundary doesn’t make saying no feel any easier. Knowing you should delegate doesn’t stop you from jumping in when you’re worried something won’t get done right. And putting an empty hour on your calendar doesn’t mean you’ll feel comfortable leaving it empty.

Because the calendar is where the pattern shows up. It isn’t necessarily where the pattern starts.

That’s what we’re going to get into during Make Space.

We’re going to look underneath the over-functioning, people-pleasing, proving, and need to keep everything under control, so you can understand why creating space has been so freaking hard even when you know you need it.

Because you can keep rearranging your calendar.

Or you can finally understand why you keep filling it back up.

That’s what I’m going to show you live.

I’m Jess Berg

I spent nearly 20 years building a successful career in corporate tech.

For almost eight of those years, I was at Adobe. I was a top performer, led global teams, and became very good at being the woman everyone could count on.

I also burned out more than once.

I tried changing roles. Changing companies. Setting better boundaries. Taking vacations. I spent two years planning my exit because I thought leaving was finally going to give me the space I was craving.

And here's the thing : I was good at creating space. I got clear on my priorities. I owned my calendar. I stopped saying yes to everything. I even got the Americas CSM of the Year award and was promoted to Strategic Account Director, leading the global Nike team.

But when I left, I realized something I didn't expect: I had taken the same patterns with me. I was still over-functioning. Still proving. Still filling every open pocket with productivity.

I had created space on the outside. I just didn't know how to feel safe inside it.

Make Space is where I’m going to show you what I wish I had understood years ago, before I tried changing everything around me without realizing what I was still carrying underneath it.

Maggie S.

She cut her work hours by 40%

“I realized I could actually control my calendar. I was no longer: bending time for others, not giving myself enough space, saving my best energy for everyone but me.

Now my calendar reflects the life I always wanted.”

Janet G.

Her weeks no longer feel like a sprint to survive

“Jessica’s blend of compassion and no-nonsense clarity helped me unwind patterns of over-functioning, people-pleasing, and tying my worth to performance.

Today my weeks no longer feel like a sprint to survive. I protect my time, hold boundaries, and define success by my well-being and joy...not just the next win.”

It’s Not About Getting “Better” At Handling The Burnout. You Need To Understand Why You Keep Ending Up Here.

You’ve changed jobs. Set boundaries. Taken the vacation. Tried to protect your calendar.

And somehow, you still end up being the woman everyone relies on while your own life gets whatever energy is left.

In this free 60-minute live masterclass on October 20 at 9am PST/Noon EST, I’ll show you what’s really keeping you stuck in that cycle:

Why slowing down can feel so uncomfortable, even when you’re desperate for a break.

You can learn exactly what to say, block your calendar, and promise yourself you’re done answering Slack after dinner. But if saying no still makes you feel guilty as hell, there’s something underneath the boundary that needs your attention.

Why setting better boundaries hasn’t been enough.

You can learn exactly what to say, block your calendar, and promise yourself you’re done answering Slack after dinner. But if saying no still makes you feel guilty as hell, there’s something underneath the boundary that needs your attention.

How being the woman everyone can count on became so hard to turn off.

We’ll unpack why producing, holding, proving, and being needed can feel safer than stepping back, even when you know it’s running you into the ground.

Why changing jobs doesn’t always change the way you experience work.

A better boss, lighter calendar, or different company can absolutely help. But if you’re still the one taking on too much, struggling to delegate, and filling every inch of available space, you can rebuild the same burnout somewhere new.

What needs to change if you want more room for the life you worked so hard to build.

You’ll start seeing the patterns underneath the over-functioning, people-pleasing, and pressure, so you can understand why they keep showing up and what it looks like to stop letting them run the show.

Because you didn’t work this hard to build a successful life just to be too depleted to enjoy any of it.
